The Secretary of International Defense Affairs, Francisco Cafiero, put at Portugal’s disposal the production and service capabilities of the Argentine defense industry in production, science, technology, and innovation.
Cafiero chaired the VI Bilateral Politico-Strategic Discussions on Defense Cooperation between the Republic of Argentina and the Republic of Portugal, which took place virtually and included the participation of the Director General of National Defense Policy of Portugal, Paulo Lourenço.
The Secretary of Defense Research, Industrial Policy and Production, Daniela Castro, said it was a very productive day in which we highlighted the value of the links between Argentina and Portugal regarding knowledge generation and the defense industry.
“We also considered alternatives for work in the second half of the year in a virtual seminar aimed at sharing information between Argentine defense companies and the Portuguese company Emprodef,” she explained. And recalled that “Fadea has been working for some time with the company OGMA, which is also a state-owned company.”
The meeting aimed to deepen cooperation between the two countries in defense.
