Wednesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tonight Grammy-Award-winner Michael Bublé returns to Rio to play live at Barra da Tijuca’s HSBC Arena.
Bublé was last in Brazil playing sold-out shows during 2012. As a live performer, he is well known for making female audience members swoon with his pop and classical crossover hits and for keeping male attendees entertained with talk of his favorite sport, hockey, his goofy humor and his notable talent.
Well known for his songs; “Home”, “Everything”, “Close Your Eyes”, “It’s A Beautiful Day”, and “Haven’t Met You Yet“, among others, the Canadian singer returns to the country this month for four shows as part of his ongoing world tour entitled, “To Be Loved”. The tour’s name is taken from Bublé’s eighth studio album.
Rio is the first stop in Brazil during the current tour and will be followed by three shows in São Paulo on the 19th, 20th and 21st.

Singer Alice Passos will start things off tonight at Rio Scenarium at 7:30PM. Known for her MPB reinterpretiations of the works of Wilson das Neves, Guinga, Nelson Sargento, Roberta Sá, Dori Caymmi, and Ivan Lins, among others, tonight Passos will perform classsic samba, as well as, the best of MPB and more. Then following at 10:30PM, songwriter and mandolinist Nilze Carvalho will perfom work from her latest release entitled, What Is Mine, along with her own reinterpretations of classic samba.
