Wednesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tonight, DJ Taw celebrates the release of his new CD at Studio RJ in Arpoador. Taw has been performing and DJing over the course of thirty years, playing at some of the hottest parties in Rio de Janeiro, including the New Years Eve stage at Copacabana beach, with more than 100,000 people in attendance. He is booked up well through 2014, with not a single weekend free.
Taw’s talents aren’t restricted solely to DJing, but also include a powerful singing voice. He is heavily influenced by rock and soul and has participated in various bands over the years. Now his two passions meet as Taw releases his second album, which fuses beats with heartfelt lyrics and guitar riffs. Influences of rock, 80s, black music and electronic run rampant throughout the album, which can be heard tonight at Studio RJ.
