feelleblonTuesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – – Billed by organizers, as “The Best Tuesday Party,” the weekly Feel Leblon event is back at Club Sette in Leblon tonight.

The venue features two stories with a bar and lounge on the first floor and a club area on the second floor with DJs spinning the best of house, pop, reggaeton, hip-hop, funk and more during the Feel Leblon parties.

Event pomotions include free caipirinhas until midnight and two for one beer all night long.

This party is living up to its promise as a great Tuesday night party as it continues to weekly bring together exchange students, visitors to the city and locals for a great night out.

Tunnel Lab Fundraising Luncheon (Leblon)
Celebrating the empowerment of mothers and women during the lead up to Mother’s Day, a very special fundraising event for the NGO (non-governmental organization), Tunnel Lab, will take place at Bar D’Hotel on Leblon Beach today from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM. During the event, a special raffle will be held and feature fabulous prizes including spa and beauty treatments, health and exercise classes, dining vouchers, clothes and jewelry items. Additionally the founder of Tunnel Lab, Brazilian Julia Moura, will speak during the luncheon. Having earned a bachelor’s from PUC and a master’s from Hult International University in San Francisco, Moura founded the Tunnel Lab with the goal of empowering the youth of Rio’s favelas through learning more about problems that face their communities, including lack of water, poor sanitation, drug trade violence, and lack of cultural activities. Through classes about technology and social entrepreneurship, along with hands-on workshops, the Tunnel Lab also provides participants with skills and knowledge of the tools that can be used to help make long-term differences in their communities. Matriz Live Sessions with Amálgama and Audionova (Botafogo)
Spotlighting up-and-coming rock bands and adding some life to typically less than lively Tuesday nights in Rio, the weekly ‘Matriz Live Sessions,’ event is back at Casa da Matriz in Botafogo tonight. During this edition, bands Amálgama and Audionova will perform live.

The Bem Brasil party returns to 00 tonight with DJ Haron Dufau spinning the best of Latin rhythms, reggaeton, cumbia, kuduro, and hip hop. This weekly party is always a great opportunity to mix and mingle with visitors to the city, locals and expats in one of the chicest venues in Rio.

At 7:30PM, singer-songwriter and bandolinist Nilze Carvalho will start off the night at Rio Scenarium by performing the best of classic samba and works from her album, O Que É Meu. Singer and guitarist Daniel Neves will follow at 11PM with his reinterpretations of works by João Nogueira, Cartola, Zé Ketti, and Nelson Cavaquinho, among others.

Language Exchange – Lapa Irish Pub (Lapa)
Tonight at Lapa Irish Pub, it’s time again for the Portuguese/English Language Exchange. Set up like speed dating, native English speakers will be paired with native Portuguese speaker at tables. The pairs will then speak English for five minutes followed by Portuguese for five minutes. After those ten minutes, each speaker will move on to a new table and conversation partner. It’s both a fun and educational night and the R$10 entrance cost includes free food.
