Tuesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tuesday nights are vinyl nights as DJ Marcelinho da Lua represents on the turntables with swing jazz, bossa, soul, caribeñas, rare groove and more. DJ Marcelinho’s vinyl collection has grown and been carefully pieced together from travels around the globe, record stores, bookstores, sidewalks, friendships and professional trades.
He told The Rio Times, “I decided to make this party in order to share my collection that has been built over the last twenty years. A tribute to the guys who ‘dig’ for music, because searching for vinyl is a devotion, a bible with faithful disciples.”
His dedication and musical knowledge is present every week as Marcelinho plays his carefully selected sets, along with guests both local and out of town.
