Festa DobradinhaTuesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – It’s time again for the best of pop and rock as the Dobradinha party returns to Fosfobox in Copacabana tonight.

During this edition, the second of the winter season, the party will be helping to raise funds for Trote do Amor, a project consisting of ten Rio de Janeiro colleges competing to raise funds and generate ideas for ten charities. See more aboutTrote do Amor, here.

Promotions during the party tonight will include two-for-one Hi-Fi all night and two-for-one Jägermeister until 1AM. There will also be free pizza in line and, as always, twins pay only one entry fee.

Matriz Live Sessions with Cafe Republica, Two Places at Once, and Cósta (Botafogo)
Spotlighting up-and-coming rock bands and musicians while adding some life to typically less than lively Tuesday nights in Rio, the ‘Matriz Live Sessions,’ event is back at Casa da Matriz in Botafogo. Tonight the bands Cafe Republica, Two Places at Once, and Cósta will perform live.

Pub Crawl Ipanema (Ipanema)
Every Tuesday night Bem Brasil Entretenimento is presenting the Pub Crawl Ipanema, a tour of Rio Nightlife. Beginning at Belmonte Bar in Ipanema (Rua Teixeira de Melo, 53) at 7:20PM, the tour include stops at four bars, Belmonte Bar, Si Señor, Blue Agave, and Banana Jack, and one club, 00 (Zero Zero in Gávea), which hosts the Bem Brasil -The Rio Hostels Party on Tuesdays (See below.) The entry fee to 00 is included with the Pub Crawl price and there will be free caipirinhas in the club until 12AM as part of the party. Additionally, there will be three free shots and a drinking game during the tour. No booking prior to the tour is needed and if you should miss the group departure from Belmonte Bar, you can catch up, until 8:30PM, at the second stop, Si Senor in Ipanema (Rua Farme de Amoedo, 39). The tour happens rain or shine and attendees must be eighteen and over. Make sure to bring a photo ID.

Feel Leblon (Leblon)
The weekly Feel Leblon party is back at Sette Leblon bar and lounge tonight. Promotions include all you can drink caipirinhas until midnight and two for one beers for R$15 all night long. During the event, DJs Guga Fernandez, Matheus, and Dani Fontenelle will spin the best of electronica, trap, house, indie rock, funk Carioca, hip hop, reggeation, and samba. Entrance is free for women until 12:30AM.

Bem Brasil – The Rio Hostels Party (Gávea)
The Bem Brasil party is back at 00 (Zero Zero) tonight with live Brazilian music and DJs JR Mahr and Haron Dufau spinning the best of Latin rhythms, reggaeton, cumbia, kuduro, and hip hop throughout the night. Additionally promotions will include free caipirinhas from 11PM until midnight.

Tonight singer Késia Estácio will perform live at Carioca da Gema in Lapa. Estácio cites influences including Elis Regina, Djavan, and Chico Buarque, among others, and tonight she will perform the best of MPB, samba, soul and pop.

Language Exchange – Lapa Irish Pub (Lapa)
Tonight at Lapa Irish Pub, it’s time again for the Portuguese/English Language Exchange. Set up like speed dating, native English speakers will be paired with native Portuguese speaker at tables. The pairs will then speak English for five minutes followed by Portuguese for five minutes. After those ten minutes, each speaker will move on to a new table and conversation partner. It’s both a fun and educational night and the R$10 entrance cost includes free food. Following the Language Exchange tonight, the venue will host the Irish Session with musicians performing traditional Irish music live.

Lord Jim’s Pub is the oldest pub in Rio and its well known for live music and promotional specials. During Happy Hours (6PM to 8PM) on Mondays through Fridays, the pub offers two for one draft beer. This is also a great place to watch live sports.

Mab’s Restaurant and Bar (Copacabana)
This American-owned restaurant and bar on Copacabana Beach is a great place for food, drinks and entertainment. Every night, Tony Boka is performing live from 8PM until midnight. Boka is known for his varied repertoire that always pleases the crowd.

Shenanigan’s (Ipanema)
With classic pub games like darts and pool, Ipanema’s Shenanigan’s is always a great spot to visit. Happy Hour is dose dupla (two for one) on Mondays through Fridays 6PM-8PM. Additionally, tacos are half-price on Tuesdays. This is another great place to watch live streaming sports.
