Tuesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Alto Vidigal is hosting their annual New Years Eve party tonight and will be holding nothing back. Situated on the very top of the Vidigal mountain, Alto Vidigal is a hostel and event venue, with views of every major beach in Rio, plus the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas even all the way to Niteroi. In the morning, the sun rises from across the ocean, lighting up the sky in an amazing fashion. There is really no better way to ring with new year.
Tonights lineup consists of some local cariocas and an Englishman. Headlining the night is techno goddess Chris Rocha, who has been banging beats in Rio for the past decade. She is one of the few DJs who still stays true to vinyl and tonight she will be bringing it. Also on deck is Pedro Piu from Brazilian Wax and London based transplant Jody King.
