Thursday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – British indie-pop band Metronomy returns to Rio’s Circo Voador tonight to play live.
Metronomy first played Circo Voador in September 2011 and they arrive in the city tonight thanks to the help of Queremos, a Rio based crowdfunded kickstarter, that connects musicians, agents, fans and venues.
The group, known for their indie-pop/new wave sounds, have realesed four studio albums since their formation in 1999. They are currently touring in support of their most recent relase entitled, Love Letters.
They are known for their songs: “The Look,” “The Bay,” “Radio Ladio,” “Love Letters” and “I’m Aquarius,” among others.
DJs Tomás Troia and Edu Castelo will spin before and after the show tonight.

Tonight at Lapa’s Leviano bar it’s time to dance as the group Mano a Mano starts things off at 8PM with salsa and merengue on the first floor, while on the second floor the weekly Forró Leviano party will present Marcelo Mimoso and special guest André Aragão.
