Sunday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – A screening of the 1982 Steven Spielberg science film “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” will close out this year’s edition of the Vivo Open Air festival tonight at Rio’s Marina da Gloriá.
It’s a great event for the whole family as the venue will also host a special place for the kids. The children’ s recreational area will open at 6PM.

Performing tonight to close out the 2014 BMW Jazz Festival at Vivo Rio will be Grammy Awarding-winning saxophonist Kenny Garrett and his quintet; innovative Brooklyn-based jazz fusion band Snarky Puppy and American Ahmad Jamal, former pianist for jazz legend Miles Davis.

Tonight at Comuna in Botafogo, American musician Kevin Emil Micka, under the stage name Animal Hospital, will perform his experimental works that layer acoustic, electronic and vocal elements to create hypnotic soundscapes.
