Sunday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Projeto Raizes is on once again at the beautiful Casa Rosa in Laranjeiras. This outstanding Brazilian-themed party has been running with success for some time now, providing attendees with a truly Brazilian experience. Local music and rhythms coupled with their famous feijoada really show the Rio lifestyle. Experience this firsthand along with amazing views of downtown.

This week DJs and live bands perform their repertoire of famous samba hits from Noel Rosa, Paulinho da Viola, Dona Ivone Lara, Zeca Pagodinho, Jorge Benjor, Tim Maia, Bebeto, Trio Mocotó and many others. Special guests include Galocantô and Kalifa.

Bloco: Se Não Quiser Me Dar, Me Empresta (Jardim Botanico)
Founded in 2008 by the people of Ipanema, this bloco has been known to draw out around 5,000 or so happy samba lovers as the parade processes down the beachfront street of Viera Souto. Not to be missed.

Feijoada e Roda de Samba: Arruda + Clube do Esquema (Laranjeiras)
Enjoy Rio’s offerings to the fullest at Casa Rosa in the hills of Laranjeiras. Get your fill of Brazilian beats, along with drinks and feijoada if the mood calls for it.

Duo (Gávea)
