Sunday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Roda de Forró offers the best in top quality forró music and reggae, the perfect way to wind down the weekend. This special Sunday night staple has been ongoing at Centro Cultural Carioca for years, featuring the forró and reggae styles of the northeast.

Forró encompasses a number of northeastern Brazilian dances as well as a number of different musical genres which accompany these dances, including reggae. The genre has gained widespread popularity in most of Brazil and is continually growing in popularity outside Brazil. Tonight you will see the fun and energy that keeps this popular style alive, at one of the longest running “rodas” in Rio.
