sambinhaSunday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Every Sunday the Espaço Bella Vista in Glória is hosting the Sambinha RJ party.

Tonight Gustavo Lins, Grupo Firmamento, and Felype Frazáo will perform and DJs Max Trivela, Alex Lopes, and Caslu will spin.

Additionally there will be an open bar for women until 9PM and Stella Artois will be two for one for everyone until 12AM.

El Miraculoso Samba Jazz (Praia Vermelha)
After some difficulties last week due to weather, the group El Miraculoso Samba Jazz will present a free outdoor performance at Praia Vermelha today. The group consists of trombonist Henrique Vaz, bassist Marcos Luz, drummer Gabriel Barbosa and guitarist Jefferson Moreira.

Duo (Gávea)
It’s Sunday and that means it’s time to end your weekend with the best of house and electro-pop at Duo in Gávea’s 00 (Zero Zero). Tonight things will begin early, as always, at 5PM. DJ Lis Amaral will spin outside on the deck to start off the party and DJs Pedro Whitaker, Dri Toscano, and Felipe Malfoy will follow by spinning inside until 5AM.

The Sambinha RJ party returns to Espaço Bella Vista tonight with Gustavo Lins, Grupo Firmamento, and Felype Frazáo performing and DJs Max Trivela, Alex Lopes, and Caslu spinning. There will be an open bar for women until 9PM and a two for one promotion on Stella Artois until 12AM.

Rogê (Lapa)
It’s time to dance as singer-songwriter Rogê returns for his weekly show at Lapa’s Carioca de Gema. The lively up-and-coming performer will present his own compositions as well as covers of works by Jorge, Djavan, and Jorge Benjor, among others.

Roda de Samba and Soccer (Football) (Lapa)
Sundays are all about samba and soccer at Lapa’s Leviano bar. Every week beginning at 5PM the venue streams live games on their screens with samba dancers following the matches and the group Samba Di Buteco playing classics of the genre, including works by Arlindo Cruz, Zeca Pagodinho and João Nogueira, among others. DJ Mukato will also spin during the night.

Tune the Fuse @ Saloon 79 (Botafogo)
Tonight Saloon 79 in Botafogo will host the first edition of the Tune the Fuse event. Bands Sound Bullet, Rivotrio 2MG, and Folks will perform live.

Shenanigan’s Live Music (Ipanema)
With classic pub games like darts and pool, Ipanema’s Shenanigan’s is always a great spot to visit. Every Sunday, promotions include two for one Sol beer, caipirinha and caipivodka. Pizza Pub is also only R$10.
