Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – There is pretty much only one place to be on Saturday night and that is at the La Folie event in Centro, which will host the super-duos of house music Wolf + Lamb and Soul Clap. These two dynamic duos have been dominating the electronic scene. Stemming from Chicago and New York City, the producers/ DJs/ promoters and all around jacks of all trades make their premier performance together in Rio. This will be a party to remember.

Skatalites (Lapa)
Formed in 1964, the Skatalites are the creators of ska. They were a backup reggae band of the legendary music label Studio One, a label that introduced Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff and other historical musical names of the twentieth century to the world. On their fourth visit to Brazil, the group will play their classics like “Latin Goes Ska”, “Eastern Standard Time” and “Phoenix City”.

La Folie presents- Wolf + Lamb & Soul Clap (Centro)
If there is one event of the year that is not to be missed its this one. Electronic heavyweights Wolf + Lamb (New York) and Soul Clap (Chicago) will be playing in Rio for the very first time. These two duo’s are known internationally as some of the hottest producers and DJs in the business. Their music selection ranges from deep, funky, tech house to classic 80’s and 90’s themed funk. This party will be one for the record books, no doubt.

Stereo Zero (Gávea)
The evening begins with happy hour and full rhythm lounge. As the night progresses, DJs Cobra & José Roberto Mahr, and VJ Isa present new releases and classic remixes of indie rock, pop, new disco, club house and all the variations in between.

One of the most important groups in the music scene of Brasília, Coisa Nossa has participated in numerous projects of samba. Coisa Nossa presents a repertoire of samba hits that will leave no one standing.

Sururu na Roda (Lapa)
The group is in the hottest samba circles and was an integral part of the revitalization process of Lapa, the bohemian neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro. With ten years of work they released three albums, Sururu na Roda remains attached to the cultural revival of Brazilian music.
