Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – After his show as part of Festival Multiplicidade on Thursday night, Danish electronic musician Nick Eriksen, better known as Taragana Pyjarama, will spin live as part of the Pasta Base party tonight at Centro’s La Paz club.
Also during the night BoTECOeletro, Omulu, and Pedro Piu will spin the best of tech and deep house while VJ Mad Dog provides visuals.
Meanwhile on a separate stage of the venue, DJs Tiago Luz, Rogerio Pessoa, Rodolfo Vaz and Chico Abreu will also spin.

Tonight Centro’s Espaço Acústica will host the Pop ‘N’ Roll Roll Cinematográfica 2.0 event. At 8PM, the band Cartola de Noel will get things started again tonight at Rio Scenarium with a performance of authentic samba. The group Empolga às 9 will follow at 11PM with their eclectic repertoire that includes everything from samaba to frevo to maracatu. Finaly beginning at 2:30 AM, the group Maria Filó again will play some of the best forró you can hear any in the city tonight. Their show will include thier reinterpreatations of the works Luiz Gonzaga, Marinês, Dominguinhos and Sivuca, among others.
