Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Today from 2PM to 10PM, a new fair in Barra da Tijuca, the Hype Free Market, will combine the best of both new fashion and brands in Rio with quality vintage and used goods from thrift shops and private sellers.
Created by Robert Guimarães and Fernando Molinari, the two men behind the popular monthly fair, Babilônia Feira Hype, the Hype Free Market will feature approximately one hundred exhibitors filling the second floor of the Shopping Città America.
Additionally as part of the ‘Brechó Particular’ (Flea Private) section of the fair, around sixty individuals will sell their own personal items. “We want to bring the trend of informal bazaars, that are held at home with friends, to this event,” co-creator Robert Guimarães said in a press release, adding, “We want to expand the reach to the general public and encourage consumers to find a new way of consuming fashion, and so-called conscious consumption.”

It’s time to shop for the best up-and-coming brands and quality vintage and used goods in Rio, as the creators of the popular Babilônia Feira Hype, present a new fair, Hype Free Market, today in Barra da Tijuca. Live Cinema (Ipanema)
The seventh edition of the Live Cinema festival opens tonight at Oi Futuro Ipanema tonight. The galleries on the 1st and 2nd floors will open and Coletivo Plástico Preto will perform. The festival, which celebrates live manipulation of film and audio in real time presentations, will run through October 13th.

In celebration of the famous Munich, Germany festival, Oktoberfest, Centro’s Espaço Acústica will host Oktoberfestas tonight in Centro. The party will be complete with German themed decorations, traditional food, DJs spinning live, German beer and JägerBombs.
