Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – The tequila drinking battle TeKiller morphs into a grand tournament tonight at Lapa’s Teatro Odisséia.
Dubbed the Copa de Tequila (Tequila Cup), it’s a night not to be missed as 25 teams will compete for a bottle of Jose Cuervo and eternal VIP status at all future TeKiller editions.
Teams will be drinking shots of Tequila, Tequila Sunrises, Margaritas, Mojitos and of course, TeKiller Bombs (Tequila, Jägermeister and Red Bull) as the music for the seven-hour Copa de Tequila will be provided by DJs Wilson Power, Roberto Cruz, Fernando Prado, Millah Bass, Thiago Halleck, Ian Garcez, and Larissa Conforto.

It’s the second Saturday of the month and that means it’s time again for the Baile Black Bom (Good Black Party). Hosted on the famous Rio site of Pedra do Sal, the free event is a celebration of Afro-Brazilian culture and for the eighth edition tonight, band Consciência Tranquila and DJ Leandro Marcelino Flash return to reinterpret classic funk from the 70s, R & B, and hip-hop until midnight.
