Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Parties are in the air as 2014 takes off in Rio de Janeiro. Celebrating the new year in Santa Teresa is Soul Sessions, featuring a mix of DJs playing the best of house, soul, funk and disco. Hosted at Hotel Rio 180 in Santa Teresa, the party will provide incredible views of both Rio and the people attending. Come watch the sunset, have a caipirinha and dance till you drop. The mood of the party is casual, light and funky with DJs who understand music.
Mustafa is DJ/ producer and label owner of musica Staff Productions as well as producer of the party, Shut Up & Dance. Gustavo MM is a DJ and record selector at the party Jazz Ahead, among other events. He also gained fame as a soundtrack producer for films like “Paraísos Artificiais”. Finally, Marcello MBGroove, part of well known music collective “Vinil é Arte”. He is a serious collector of black music and has participated in events such as Cup Fest, Rock n Rio & Rio Connection, among others.
