noonSaturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick –Today and tonight as part of the ongoing Rio Music Conference (RMC) Club Week, the 00 (Zero Zero) venue in Gávea will host the Noon and Warung parties.

Very special guests, Albuquerque, Leo Janeiro, Conti & Mandy, Lauren Lane, Flow & Zeo, Davis, Volkoder and Jonty Skruff will perform.

Additionally during the night, VJ DCM will provide visual projections. The parties will begin early at 4PM and last until early Sunday morning at 5AM

Ponto de Equilíbrio (Lapa)
Brazilian reggae band Ponto de Equilíbrio will pay homage to the works of Bob Marley as they perform live tonight at Circo Voador in Lapa. Known for songs that include “Get Up Stand Up”, “Redemption Song” and “One Love”, among many others, Marley would have turned seventy this year on February 6th.

Rock no Porto (Lapa)
Porto Pirata presents the seventh edition of the Rock no Porto party. Bands ZeroNove, Tapete RED, and Lítio will perform live.

Feira Rio Antigo (Centro Antigo)
Today the popular Feira Rio Antigo returns to Centro Antigo. Also known as, Feira do Lavradio, the fair will feature over 400 exhibitors selling everything from crafts to books to antiques. Additionally today, singer Nai Dias will perform at 4:30 PM. With the fair taking place on Rua do Lavradio, between Av. Mem de Sá and Av. Visconde de Rio Branco, this is also a great chance to see some of the older mansions and architecture in Rio de Janeiro.

Blocos (Various Locations)
As Carnival 2015, approaches the free street parties known as blocos are already underway. More than sixty blocos and practices are scheduled to take place today across the city. Among today’s notable Bloco processions is Simpatia É Quase Amor. This bloco will meet at R. Teixeira de Melo by the Praça General Osório in Ipanema at 4PM and then parade until 8PM. Over 100,000 thousand people are expected to attend their procession. Another popular bloco parading today is Céu Na Terra. They will gather at Pça. Odilo Costa Neto in Santa Teresa at 8AM and will parade until 1PM. Other blocos parading today and tonight include Rio Pandeiro, who will parade from 5PM-9PM starting at the Pça. São Salvador in the neighborhood of Laranjeras and Bloco Brasil will parade from 4PM to 8PM starting from Pça. Almirante Julio de Noronha in the neighborhood of Leme.
It is important to note that meet-up points and locations of the bloco parades are subject to change.

Bailinho (Centro)
Tonight the fourth and final summer edition of the Bailinho event will take place at Píer Mauá’s Anexo 4. More than a party, Bailinho is an over-the-top spectacle that combines pop music with live performances, DJs, giveaways and multiple surprises throughout each night. Created by resident DJ Rodrigo Penna in 2007, no two Bailinho events are ever the same. The party is always renewing itself.

Wake Up! (Copacabana)
The Wake Up party returns to Fosfobox in Copacabana tonight with the best of pop, indie and hits. DJs Sal and Grazzia will spin at the Fosfobar while the Wake Up party will take over the subsolo (basement) with G.R.E.S do Bloquete. Beto Artista, Schlaepfer, and Fl3SH Disco will spin throughout the night. Additionally, VJ JuJu will provide visual projections during the night.

In Centro tonight the La Paz club with host the NAVE party. DJs Bruno Ambrozi, Dave Avigdo and Nathalia Hinz will spin house on the first floor while DJs Andrei Yurievitch, Dorly, and Rodrigo S. will spin the best of trap and bass on the second floor during the night.

Ferro e Farinha (Catete)
New Yorker and Pizza Chef Sei Shiroma has moved his mobile oven into a permanent restaurant in Catete and it’s a great place to drop in before heading out for a night on the town. With Shiroma’s Neapolitan-style gourmet pizza finished off with unique toppings that have included spicy honey, grana padano, zucchini, salt-cured eggplant, beets, watercress, orange balsamic vinaigrette lemon, and caramelized onions, Ferro e Farinha is quickly gaining popularity in Rio.
