Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – More than a tribute or homage, tonight is a gathering of local friends who love and admire the immortal Tim Maia at the beachfront venue of Studio RJ in Arpoador. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Tim Maia was a Brazilian musician known for his iconoclastic, ironic, outspoken, and humorous musical style. Maia contributed to Brazilian music within a wide variety of musical genres, including soul, funk, bossa nova, disco, romantic ballads, pop, rock, jazz, baião and MPB.

In true honor of the legendary musician, Banda Iconico will play each style of music and song to represent the man in the best possible way. From original arrangements to modernized revisions. The show is a tribute to Tim and his music. With the velvety voice of Bruno Maia , a singer with style and feature of charm music, from the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro, an encore will surely be in demand. “The show is completely fascinating and totally danceable!”
