The Rio Times, Nightlife Guide, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Nightlife, Bars, Clubs

We have the top three picks for this Wednesday, and below there is a list of bars and lounges that are always a good option.

KARAOKE:
Karaokê at Drinkaria 67 (Lapa) – Everyone knows what karaokê is all about: the more you drink, the better you sound!

Hosted by the very popular ‘Riot Karaokê’ who used to run the successful Irish Pub Lapa karaokê, today’s karaokê is titled ‘Karaokê Especial Trilhas Sonoras’ (Karaoke Special: Soundtracks).

There’s sure to be plenty of Whitney Houston and Celine Dion wannabes taking us back to the movies of our childhood. While Riot Karaokê is suggesting Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, Karate Kid as potential crowd pleasers.

Up to ten microphones can be used at one time, so bring a posse! And Drinkaria 67 will also be putting on what they reckon to be the best happy hour in Lapa!

Karaokê Especial Trilhas Sonoras – Avenida Mem de Sá, 67 – Lapa

Things will get started at around 7PM. For more information, visit the event page.

This place can get busy so book to avoid disappointment. There is also a cover charge for the band of R$15.

There is also an open bar until midnight, where from 10PM until 11PM caipirinhas are free, and from 11PM until midnight beers are free. After that, look out for the specials.

There will also be carnival paint and makeup with artist Leon Alado.
