Wednesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – It’s time for the best of hip hop, trap and funk as the Breaking Rules party returns to the Lagoa club, Miroir.
The party has been going strong for over three years and currently Miroir is hosting the event weekly on Wednesday nights.
Tonight DJs ИICKØ, Lorao, Mondraga, and Rapha Castro will spin.
The party’s are produced by Fred Viana and the Breaking Rules Team also includes Ana Paula Schuch Dias, Aryany Camara, Affonso Junior, Gabriel Goulart, Guilherme Benedictis, Igor Medeiros, Luciano Rodrigues, and Thiago Pinho.

Cine Daros no Pátio, “My Neighbor Totoro” (Botafogo)
The free animated film screening series Cine Daros no Pátio begins at the Casa Daros museum tonight with a screening of the 1988 Japanese film, “My Neighbor Totoro.” Directed by Hayao Miyazaki, the film tells the story of two sisters and their encounters with forest spirits and woodland creatures following a move to rural Japan after the war. The film will be shown in its original language (Japanese) with subtitles in Portuguese. All films featured in the Cine Daros no Pátio series are being screened in their original language with Portuguese subtitles.

Marcos Campello and Felipe Zenícola (Botafogo)
Two musicians, Marcos Campello and Felipe Zenícola, will launch their newest solo works live tonight at Audio Rebel in Botafogo. Both musicians are known for the live improvisations and are members of the group Chinese Cookie Poets. Tonight Felipe Zenícola will present, Arcanos, while Marcos Campbello will present, Bamsa.

Casa da Matriz continues its week-long 15th-anniversary celebrations tonight with a special edition of Karaokê Indie. In addition to eight hours of singing on the first floor, it will be a debutant-themed party complete with decorations, punch and DJs on the second floor spinning sets back-to-back sets. Promotions will include two-for-one special on five drinks; caipirinha, caipivodka, Hi-fi, Cuba Libre and mojito.
