LIVE:
Negro Leo + Vitor Araújo @ Teatro Ipanema (Ipanema) – The opening show of the A.NOTA 2018 Festival brings the artists and multi-instrumentalists Vitor Araújo and Negro Léo together.

Vitor Araújo is a composer, orchestrator and pianist, born in Recife and based in São Paulo. He has released three albums since 2008.

As a pianist, he specializes in Brazilian music, playing pieces by Villa-Lobos, Camargo Guarnieri, O. Lorenzo Fernandez, Cláudio Santoro and Edino Krieger.

As a composer, his influences range from the textural music of György Ligeti to American minimalism.

Negro Leo is a Maranhão artist, based in São Paulo. His work, seen as unique and transgressive, has received both attention and critical acclaim in the Brazilian and international press.

Recently, the legendary singer Iggy Pop featured the track ‘Underground Impossible Hit’ on the playlist of his program: Iggy Confidential for BBC 6 radio in London.

Tickets are between R$10-R$20 and the show starts at 9PM.

LIVE:
Ana de Oliveira Trio @ Sala Cecília Meireles (Lapa) – The violinist Ana de Oliveira invites the violist Dhyan Toffolo and the cellist Marcus Ribeiro to perform the works of Beethoven, Schubert and Gnattali.

The program will include Schubert’s trio in B flat major, Beethoven’s trio for violin, viola and cello in C minor and much more.

Tickets are between R$5-R$10 and the night starts at 6:30PM.

LIVE:
Alceu Valença @ Teatro Riachuelo Rio (Centro) – This evening with Alceu Valença is part of Prudential Concerts.

The project, which is paying homage to the 60th anniversary of Bossa Nova, will have as special guest in Rio de Janeiro the singer Alceu Valença.

Accompanied by a local orchestra, conducted by maestro Carlos Prazeres, Valença promises to give the audience plenty of surpises.

Tickets are between R$25-R$50 and the evening gets under way at 8:30PM.

Dida Bar e Restaurante (Tijuca)
Specialized in Afro-Brazilian and African food, Bar da Dida is a great option for authentic, soulful food one cannot find in any corner. Make sure to try one of its finger food that have already participated in the “Comida di Boteco” contest.
