We have the top three picks for this Tuesday, and below there is a list of bars and lounges that are always a good option.
PARTY:
Aula Aberta da Oficina de Percussão do Rio Maracatu @ Fundiçao Progresso (Lapa) – Come to join Rio Maracatu, one of Rio’s best and most famous Carnival blocos (street parties) for a free lesson, so that once Carnival 2020 comes around, you too will be able to parade with them.
You will be participating in a percussion workshop that will teach the traditional Brazilian rhythms, songs, and dances, such as ciranda, coco, and ijexá, as well as Maracatu. Plus, you’ll have a chance to try out all the instruments, such as the alfaia, caja, gonguê, ganzá, agbê, and timbal.
This free event begins at 7 PM.
