Tuesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tonight Bem Brasil will present the The Rio Hostels Party at Miroir, one of Rio’s most exclusive nightclub overlooking the Lagoa in Ipanema.
During the night, DJ JR Mahr will spin the best of hip hop and DJ Haron Dufau will spin the best of house, hip hop, funk, reggaeaton, and cumbia. Additionally, the band Pretensão will perform the best of samba live.
Make sure to get there early as caipirinahas at free until 12AM.

Spotlighting up-and-coming rock bands and musicians while adding some life to typically less than lively Tuesday nights in Rio, the ‘Matriz Live Sessions,’ event is back at Casa da Matriz in Botafogo tonight with the bands Infinito circular and Garam performing live.

Tonight singer Késia Estácio returns to perform live at Carioca da Gema in Lapa. Estácio cites influences including Elis Regina, Djavan, and Chico Buarque, among others, and tonight she will perform the best of MPB, samba, soul and pop. During the show she will be accompanied by bassist Rodrigo Villa, guitarist Gabriel de Aquino, percussionist Thiago da Serrinha, and drummer André Manhães.

Folakemi Quintet (Lapa)
On Tuesdays in December, the Leviano Bar will host the Folakemi Quintet. Folakemi is a British singer known for her covers of Nina Simone and Amy Winehouse, among others. During this season of shows, she will once again perform the best of jazz, nu jazz, blues, funk, and soul with the quintet. Additionally on Tuesday nights this month, DJ Sandro Black will spin the best of Fela Kuti, Miles Davis, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Billie Holiday, and Amy Winehouse among others.

Every Tuesday night Bem Brasil Entretenimento is presenting the Pub Crawl Ipanema, a tour of Rio Nightlife. Language Exchange – Lapa Irish Pub (Lapa)
Tonight at Lapa Irish Pub, it’s time again for the Portuguese/English Language Exchange. Set up like speed dating, native English speakers will be paired with native Portuguese speaker at tables. The pairs will then speak English for five minutes followed by Portuguese for five minutes. After those ten minutes, each speaker will move on to a new table and conversation partner.
