Thursday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tonight American indie, folk, and roots singer-songwriter Sam Beam, better known by his stage name Iron & Wine, will perform live at Sacadura 154.
Since 2002, Beam, as Iron & Wine, has released five full-length albums, severals EPs, live albums and vinyl EPs and LPs. He is currently touring in support of his fifth studio album entitled, Sing Into My Mouth, which was released earlier this year in July.
Beam’s well-known songs include “Upward Over the Mountain” from The Creek Drank the Cradle; “Flightless Bird, American Mouth,” and “Boy With a Coin,” both from the 2007 album, The Shepherd’s Dog; and “Naked as We Came,” from the 2004 album, Our Endless Numbered Days.
Sacadura 154’s doors will open at 10PM and a playlist from the platform Soundsgood entitled, Que Se Folk, will be played before and after the show.
