LIVE:
Living Colour @ Circo Voador (Lapa) – Come witness history as American band Living Color perform their 1988 debut album “Vivid” in its entirety under the famous canopy of Circo Voador.

If you’re a fan of funk, rock, hip-hop and even heavy metal, then Living Color will no doubt blow you away with their pioneering sound. You can also catch Brazilian favorite Seu Roque who will be playing in support of the headliners.

Tickets are available from R$170 and the night begins at 7 PM.

PARTY:
Funk’in X Trap’In @ Bar do Nanam (Centro) – Head down to Beco das Artes for the best of trap and the best of funk from top DJs including DJ FLASH, Consciencia, and Matheus Castro.

Support this free event by buying your drinks from the local bars and contributing a donation to the musicians’ hat.

Things should get underway at 10 PM.

PARTY:
Veneno + Karaokê @ Casa da Matriz (Botafogo) – Free entry before midnight (with your name on the event wall) this Thursday promises to bring you karaoke all night long plus two-for-one on artisan chope beer, just get to the Casa before the clock strikes twelve to take advantage of their best offers.

If singing’s not your thing, there’s plenty of dancing to be had with DJ Beto Artista, DJ Daniel K, and DJ Iggor Arehnds all laying down the best indie and rock until the early hours.

The party starts at 10 PM and is free entry before midnight.

LOUNGES, BARS & PUBS:

Mississippi Delta Blues Bar (Gamboa)
As the name suggests, this is the place to go in Rio for live American-style blues music. Coupled with a Soul Food-inspired menu (their mac’n’cheese is excellent), plenty of bourbons, crafts beers, and a pool table, this place makes for an atmospheric hangout, whether there’s a band playing (and there usually is) or just the jukebox.

Symposium Bistro (Laranjeiras)
Run by Uruguayan expat José Hodara, the bistro offers the best national and international labels, which can be accompanied by a selection of cheeses, sausages or a main dish, like the majestic Uruguayan chorizo beef.

Pub Escondido (Copacabana)
Those into the pub atmosphere will also love Pub Escondido, a discrete venue with premium beer labels, modern design, and a cool vibe. The pub offers 24 different beer taps.
