Bombastic (Lapa) – The Bombastic party will make everyone dance like there is no tomorrow in Lapa.

Resident DJs will spin the hottest from funk, hip-hop, and reggaeton music. There will be free caipirinhas until midnight.

Festa da Raça (Centro) – A memorable night of live samba music, gathering the best samba musicians of Rio at Praça Tiradentes.

Members of the phenomenal Samba do Trabalhador and others, such as the talented composer and cavaquinho player João Martins, will be performing from 6 PM to 12:30 PM.

Festa Ploc (Botafogo) – Get ready for a throwback Thursday!

The Festa Ploc has been running for thirteen years and tonight DJs Dom LV and Poison Girl are reviving all great artists from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.

Symposium Bistro (Laranjeiras)
Run by Uruguayan expat José Hodara, the bistro offers the best national and international labels, which can be accompanied by a selection of cheeses, sausages or a main dishes, like the majestic Uruguayan chorizo beef.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat who has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 5 PM and finishes at 8 PM.

Pub Escondido (Copacabana)

Blue Agave Ipanema (Ipanema)

Mississippi Delta Blues Bar (Gamboa)
As the name would suggest, this is the place to go in Rio for live American-style blues music. Coupled with a soul food-inspired menu (their mac’n’cheese is excellent), plenty of bourbons, crafts beers, and a pool table, this place makes for an atmospheric hangout, whether there’s a band playing (and there usually is) or just the jukebox.
