Rio Nightlife Guide for Sunday, September 16, 2018

The Rio Times, Nightlife Guide, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Nightlife, Bars, Clubs, Parties

We have the top three picks for this Sunday, and below there is a list of bars and lounges that are always a good option.

LIVE:
Alarmes e Imerso @ Audio Rebel (Botafogo) – Alarmes returns to Rio de Janeiro to perform at the Audio Rebel in Botafogo.

The last performance by the band in the Cidade Maravilhosa was when they shared a stage with the band Scalene, at Imperator, where both bands played to a full house.

The idea is to repeat the intensity of that gig with another high-energy performance at Audio Rebel.

To warm up the crowd, the Carioca band Imerso are going to perform a great opening show that will show them off in all their glamor and sensuality.

The event starts at 7PM and tickets cost between R$20-R$25.

Alarmes e Imerso – Visconde de Silva, 55 – Botafogo

For more information, consult the event page.

PARTY:
Karaokêzin Do Lord @ The Lord Jim Pub (Ipanema) – Every Sunday, the Lord Jim puts on a karaoke night to get customers in the mood for the coming week and to have one last serenade to the weekend.

In charge of the party is the resident DJ Vitor Medina who brings his catalog of more than 200,000 musical titles that can be sung solo or in a duet.

To help with stage fright, the Lord Jim will be promoting their classic and exciting bar deals: two-for-one tequila, other shots also two-for-one, bucket beer six for five all night and offers on big drinks (1,5 L) to share.

The night begins at 9PM and entry is free.

The pianist João Braga and the guitarist Marcus Nabuco have been friends since the eighties and have played with many MPB artists. João played with Geraldo Azevedo, Simone, Emilio Santiago, among others and currently accompanies Pepeu Gomes. Nabuco played with Sandra de Sá, Kleiton & Kledir, and for nine years accompanied the great Tim Maia.

The event starts at 6PM. It is free but there is a suggested artistic cover of R$15.
