Sunday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Today and into the night, the Guga Pellicciotti trio will perform lively songs of samba jazz at Gilda no Cantagalo in Copacabana.
The trio are well-known in the samba and jazz scene in the city center and at Pedra da Sal. Tonight, they will perform a mix of their favorite songs against the backdrop of a wonderful view across Copacabana and Ipanema.
Gilda no Cantagalo is at the top of one of the highest peaks in Copacabana. The bar there will be serving a selection of beers and strong caipirinhas from the moment it opens.

Sundays are all about samba at Lapa’s Leviano bar. Every week beginning at 5PM the venue hosts a roda de samba with the group Face a Face playing classics of the genre, including works by Arlindo Cruz, Zeca Pagodinho and João Nogueira, among others. Additionally, DJ Mukato spins during show intervals.
