Sunday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tonight will see a special collaboration in Rio’s Centro area, with carioca afroreggae legends Digitaldubs inviting Jamaican musician Cedric Myton, from band ‘The Congo’ to join them for a special performance.
Kicking off from 6PM in Instituto Cultural Ruínas, the evening will feature performances from Digitaldubs MCs, as well as Cedric Myton and promises further surprises including an appearance from guitarist André Sampaio.
Tickets cost R$30, and more details can be found on the event’s Facebook page. With energetic performers and great music, the evening promises a great atmosphere.

Arco do Teles presents another funk carioca gathering tonight, with resident DJs Léo Braz and Mary & Gley, and guest DJ Ravanelly. The night will bring the best of funk and hip hop to Rio’s historic centro, as well as MBP and sertanejo, to keep you dancing until the early hours of the morning. There will also be an open bar for catuaba between 6Pm and 8PM.

Legendary Jamaican singer Cedric Myton, from band The Congo, will join famous Roo afroreggae group Digitaldub this evening in Centro’s Instituto Cultural Ruínas. The evening will celebrate a single that the artists are releasing together, and will feature performances from Cedric Myton, Digitaldubs MCs Jeru Banto & Jota 3, and a special appearance from guitarist André Sampaio.

Carioca musician Dudu Oliveira returns to Lapa tonight to present his special project ‘Dude Oliveira Jam’. The lively performer will bring his version of ‘Brazilian jazz’, spontaneously mixing choro, samba, jazz and MBP in a live jam session at Carioca da Gema, with the help of percussionist Cassius Theperson, bassist Luis Louchard and pianist Vladimir Sosa.
