amsoc50Sunday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tonight the American Society of Rio de Janeiro (AmSoc Rio) will host a Super Bowl 50 Tailgate Party at the JW Marriott Hotel in Copacabana.

The party will be held on the mezzanine in the lounge and will feature a large screen with a live stream in English of the game. Kickoff time is 9:30PM.

Food is included with the entry fee of R$80 per person. There will be a buffet with chicken wings, potato skins, barbecued ribs, pepperoni mini-pizzas, chilli con carns, meatballs, onion rings, nachos, and more. Drinks can be purchased serparately

An estimated 100,000 people will gather together at the entrance of Mam to parade in the Aterro Do Flamengo to Marina Da Glória.

Approximately 20,000 people are expected to parade from Avenida Do Pepê down Avenida Érico Veríssimo to Avenida Olegário Maciel.

An estimated 100,000 people will parade from Rua Teixeira De Mel down Avenida Vieira Souto to Henrique Dumont

Folia Do Galo (Copacabana)
An estimated 5,000 people will pararde from Rua Julio De Castilho down Rua Raul Pompéia, Rua Francisco Otaviano, and Avenida Atlântica, to Esquina Da Rua Julio De Castilho.

Foliões De Botafogo (Botafogo)
An estimated 2,000 people with parade from Praça Mauro Duarte down Rua Fernandes Guimarães, Rua Arnaldo Quintela, Rua Da Passagem, Rua Álvaro Ramos, Rua Oliveira Fausto, Rua Arnaldo Quintela, and Rua Fernandes Guimarães to Praça Mauro Duarte.

The Festival Mimosa Rock 2016 continues at Pirata tonight with bands Dona Penha, DWO, Venus Café, and Balba performing live. Additionally, DJ Camille Carvalho will spin during the night. The festival will continue throughout Carnival on the 8th, and 9th. Entry is free.

It’s time for the best of pop and b-sides as the Soda party returns to Fosfobox in Copacabana tonight with a special Carnaval edition. .DJs Lay Albuquerque, Phill Ferreira, Natasha Fierce, and Rafael Sadik will spin on the Soda stage and DJs Grazzia, Sal, Andrei Y, and SaJoao will spin on the BLOQUETE stage. Promotions will include two-for-one specials on Screwdrivers for R$20 and specials on #DrinkSoda (a drink with rum, soda, and mojito syrup) for R$10 each.

It’s time once again for the best of house, electro, and pop as the twelve-hour Duo party returns to Gávea’s chic 00 (Zero Zero) club.
