The Rio Times, Nightlife Guide, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Nightlife, Bars, Clubs, Parties

We have the top three picks for this Sunday, and below there is a list of bars and lounges that are always a good option.

PARTY:
Matriz Open Bar Pré Reveillon @ Casa da Matriz (Botafogo) – The Matrix Open Bar arrives with its special New Year’s Edition, with plenty of Budweiser, gin and tonic, caipirinhas and caipivodkas, plus soft drinks and water all night long. Plus, there’ll be an extra special fifty liters of artisan choppe beer to kick things off.

On the first dancefloor there will be the sounds of DJ DK, founding partner of Casa da Matriz. Then, from 2AM, DJ Iggor Arehnds comes playing all the tracks that remind us of our adolescence and a lot of pop rock for people to dance to and sing along. On the second dancefloor, DJ trendsetter Lali Moss will present a set of pure pop, along with DJ Luana Paiva, another creator of Casa da Matriz who brings that funky carioca balance.

Tickets are between R$40 – R$80 and the night gets going at 10PM.
