Sunday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Today from 3PM to 10PM, Teatro Odisséia and Chopperia Brazooka will host the Barzar Noir, Pin-Up edition.
The event will feature the best of alternative and underground fashion, a thrift shop, cupcakes, DJs spinning and the band Fuzzcas performing live.
During this edition there will be Pin-Up contests, makeup sessions, the Erotic Noir fair (for attendees 18+), and a photography exhibition, “Mulheres” (Women), featuring the works of Jota Zeferino.
Additionally DJs Dvogt, Flavio Watson, and special guest DJ Dame will spin throughout the event.

The Praça event returns with a new edition today at Circo Voador beginning at 4PM. Started in June earlier this year, the goal of the monthly event is to provide a cultural space for creating and performing projects including parties, debates, screenings, alternative publication releases, poetry, theater and more. Today the bands Biltre and Fanfarra Black Clube will perform live and DJ Lili Prohmann will spin. Garis em Ação, Coletivo Bravos, and Sarau do Escritório will make presentations, and DJ, VJ, and architect Montano in collaboration with Eugênio Thomann will present the installation “Encaixotados.” The installation is a loop of photographs linked with corresponding sounds.

It’s time once again for the best of house, electro, and pop as the twelve-hour Duo party returns to Gávea’s chic 00 (Zero Zero) club. DJ Lennox will start the party around 5PM by spinning on the deck and DJs Babi, Diego Valente, and Tatah Toscano will follow, spinning inside throughout the night until 5AM Monday morning.

Sundays are all about samba and soccer at Lapa’s Leviano bar. Every week beginning at 6PM the venue plays live games on their screens with a live performance following the matches. Tonight the group Samba Di Buteco will play classic samba including works by Arlindo Cruz, Zeca Pagodinho and João Nogueira, among others. Additionally, DJ Mukato will spin during show intervals.
