FabrikaSunday’s Rio Nightlife Pick –Tonight the Fabrika venue, located in Rio’s West Zone neighborhood of Itanhangá, will host the FabriKa Festival 2016 with live performances and DJs spinning and performing on two stages throughout the night.

One the main stage, a Satnta Clara DJ set will start off the night at 5PM followed by a performance by Sinara at 6PM. Next will be The BlackHaus at 7:30 PM followed by British singer Jesuton performing live beginning at 9PM. Jimmy Jay and Bruno X will spin a back-to-back set beginning at 10PM and the Zeh Pretim Crew will perform at 10:30PM.

On the Non-Stop Stage, the Vinil Squad will start things off at 4PM followed by Azteca Jam Sessions at 6PM. German DJ Sharam Jey will spin at 8PM followed by French DJ Roman Cleiss at 10PM. Pedro Almeida will play next at 12AM and Lucce will close out the stage with a performance beginning at 2AM.

The Mansion Rio Sem Fronteias (Santa Teresa)
During the Olympic Games in Rio from August 5th through August 21st, The Mansion Rio in Santa Teresa will be hosting special events including lunch, dinners, poolside bar, live bands, live samba, and DJs. See The Mansion Rio Facebook page for additional information.

Brazil 101: Comedy for Gringos (Leme)
It’s time again for the best stand-up comedy about Brazil in English as Manifesto BCA in Leme will host the last edition of the season of Brazil 101: Comedy for Gringos tonight. The line-up for the night includes comedians Smigol, Nil Agra, Larissa Câmara, and Murilo Couto. Additionally, Amitov will once again serve as Master of Ceremonies.

Jazz no Morro with the Bozz Quarteto Jazz (Cantagalo)
Tonight the weekly Jazz no Morro event returns to Gilda in Cantagalo with the Bozz Quarteto Jazz performing jazz classics and bossa live. During show intervals, DJs will spin the best of Brazilian music and pop.

Laura Lavieri (Botafogo)
Tonight Laura Lavieri will return to perform live at Audio Rebel in Botafogo. During the performance Lavieri will be accompanied by guitarist João Erbettta, keyboardist Ricardo Dias Gomes, bassist Alberto Continentino, and drummer Pedro Fonte.

Roda de Samba and Football with Ballet 2 Passistas (Football) (Lapa)
Sundays are all about samba at Lapa’s Leviano bar. Every week beginning at 5PM the venue hosts a roda de samba with the group Face a Face playing classics of the genre, including works by Arlindo Cruz, Zeca Pagodinho and João Nogueira, among others. Additionally, DJ Mukato spins during show intervals.

Rogê (Lapa)
It’s time to dance as vocalist and guitarist Marcos Novatto starts the night at Carioca da Gema at 9PM. Singer-songwriter Rogê will follow at 11PM, returning for his weekly show at Lapa’s Carioca de Gema. The lively performer will present his own compositions as well as covers of works by Jorge, Djavan, and Jorge Benjor, among others.
