Consisting of vocalists Rafael Rebello, Bruno Ribeiro, Luisa Baeta, and Alba Canovas, guitarist Luiz Magalhães, bassit Paulo Monnerat, drummer Filipe Rebello, saxophonist Pedro Sucupira, trombonist Luiz Gustavo, and trumpter Thiago Garcia, Jamelão Sound System is known for its songs which blend ska, reggae, rocksteady, and dance.

Brasil Jazz Fest with Hamilton de Holanda Quinteto and the Anouar Brahem Quartet(Flamengo)
Tonight for the third and final night of the 2016 Brasil Jazz Fest in Rio, the Anouar Brahem Quartet will open the night followed by a performance by bandolinist Hamilton de Holanda with his quintet.

Tonight the weekly Jazz no Morro event returns to Gilda in Cantagalo with Dezmeia Onzemaia performing live. Additionally during the night, DJ Marc Nunes will spin the best of Brazilian music, dance music, and classic rock during show intervals.

It’s time once again for the best of house, electro, and pop as the twelve-hour Duo party returns to Gávea’s chic 00 (Zero Zero) club. Guest DJs will start the party tonight by spinning on the deck beginning at 5PM. Then beginning at 12AM, more DJ will follow, spinning inside on the dancefloor until 5AM Monday morning.

Roda de Samba and Football with Ballet 2 Passistas (Football) (Lapa)
Sundays are all about samba and soccer at Lapa’s Leviano bar. Every week beginning at 5PM the venue plays live games on their screens with samba dancers following the matches and the group Samba Di Buteco playing classics of the genre, including works by Arlindo Cruz, Zeca Pagodinho and João Nogueira, among others. Additionally, DJ Mukato will spin during show intervals.
