Tuca Mei @ Audio Rebel (Botafogo) – Come see carioca singer-songwriter Tuca Mei perform from her new EP “Olhos Atentos” at the intimate yet illustrious venue Audio Rebel.

Fans of Marisa Monte, Lady Gaga, and Lana Del Rey will love Tuca Mei, who takes inspiration from a wide range of musical styles – jazz, reggae, opera – and blends them all to form her inimitable sound.

Tickets are R$20, and the show starts at 8 PM.

DRINKS:
Pint of Science 2019 @ Mestre-Cervejeiro (Flamengo) – Enjoy a pint of science at this internationally-renowned beer festival, with 24 countries participating this year.

For three consecutive days (May 20th, 21st, and 22nd), Mestre-Cervejeiro will host several scientists to talk to the public about the most unusual subjects, and tonight’s being “The Search for Life in the Universe: Are We Alone?”

The talk starts at 7:30 PM, entry is free, but space limited.

Samba do Trabalhador @ Renascença Clube (Andaraí) – Why not kick off the week with one of the most authentic samba nights in the city, Samba Do Trabalhador, led by the legendary musician Moacyr Luz?

It’s always the same winning formula: cold beer, traditional Brazilian food, a convivial atmosphere, and of course some of the best live samba in the city.

Things usually get going at 4:30 PM, and tickets are between R$20 and R$40.

Run by a British expat, Winehouse boasts an eclectic range of wines both local and international. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those who aren’t too keen on wine, there are plenty of beer and cocktail options, too. Happy hour begins at 5 PM and ends at 8 PM.

Nosso (Ipanema)
Located in a charming house at Maria Quitéria street, Nossos’s sophisticated drinks and dishes are undoubtedly worth a try. You will also enjoy Nosso if you are a rum lover: their rum drinks, with labels from Cuba and Jamaica, are the house specialties.

Macaco Caolho Rock ‘n’ Drinks (Copacabana)
Open until 3 AM, and with an ever-changing drink and food menu, this Irish pub is always busy with live entertainment, karaoke, and special offers to keep their loyal clientele coming back for more.
