Samba do Trabalhador @ Renascença Clube (Andaraí) – Come down to Renascença Clube this Monday for a special “Festa Junina” themed Samba Do Trabalhador, as always fronted by the inimitable Moacyr Luz.

This is one of the most authentic samba nights in the city, with a simple yet award-winning formula of cold beer, traditional Brazilian food, a convivial atmosphere, and of course some of the best live samba in the city.

Things usually get going at 4:30 PM and tickets are between R$20 and R$40.

PARTY:
The Glow Party! @ New Mariuzinn (Copacabana) – For the liveliest start to the week, why not head to New Mariuzinn in Copacabana for their famous Glow Party?

Free caipirinhas until midnight, random tequila shots, and of course lots of dark light and fluorescent paint. Come and start the week with a bang with both a live samba act and resident DJs spinning house, hip-hop, reggaeton, and of course plenty of pop classics.

The party starts at 11 PM, and tickets are between R$40-R$60.

Cordel Negro @ Spaço Fractal (Lapa) – Popular forró troupe Cordel Negro will be taking over Spaço Fractal for a night of eclectic multi-cultural and multi-racial live music. Perfect for anyone looking to practice their forró steps.

Prepare yourself for plenty of surprises as there will be special live guests and three DJ sets in what is set to be a party that doesn’t stop until late.

This free event starts at 6 PM.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Run by a British expat, Winehouse boasts an eclectic range of wines both local and international. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those who aren’t too keen on wine, there are plenty of beer and cocktail options, too. Happy hour begins at 5 PM and ends at 8 PM.

Macaco Caolho Rock ‘n’ Drinks (Copacabana)
Open until 3 AM, and with an ever-changing drink and food menu, this Irish pub is always busy with live entertainment, karaoke, and special offers to keep their loyal clientele coming back for more.
