Rio Nightlife Guide for Monday, July 9, 2018

The Rio Times, Nightlife Guide, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Nightlife, Bars, Clubs

We have the top three picks for this Monday, and below there is a list of bars and lounges that are always a good option.

LIVE:
SUBCENA #07 @ Audio Rebel (Botafogo) – The poet Angélica Freitas and the musician Juliana Perdigão come together in a session that celebrates the lack of control and the randomness of the word and the sound.

“Coisas que voam” (Things that fly) is the starting point for this joint creation of Angélica Freitas and Juliana Perdigão.

Side by side, in this drift, they pick things that inspire them, for example a famous Brazilian priest who went floating off aimlessly into the air.

This will be a night for those who like something experimental and challenging. Angélica Freitas and Juliana Perdigão will be playing a game of capturing moments shared by all of us and then throwing them back at the audience.

Angélica Freitas and Juliana Perdigão’s performance will start at 8PM and costs R$20. This Monday performance is part of a monthly program of poetry and music that takes place at Audio Rebel.

The duo Liv Lagerblad and Ernesto Sena will open the evening’s proceedings.

SUBCENA #07 – Visconde de Silva, 55 – Botafogo

PARTY:
The Glow Party! @ New Mariuzinn (Copacabana) – It’s back! the party brought to you by Rio Sessions which promises the biggest Monday night.

There will be free caipirinhas until midnight, random tequila shots, promotions on beers and vodka energy drinks.

If you’re looking for an upscale, big club experience, this seems to be the ticket. The club will be immersed in black light and they will be handing out everything from glow paint to glow bracelets and much more.

This night there will be live samba, then DJ Caue Campean will be spinning some house, hiphop and reggaeton, followed by DJ Dluccio who will spin pop, trap and deep house.

Two DJs, two floors, and only one block away from Copacabana beach.

Glow Party! @ New Mariuzinn – Avenida Nossa Senhora de Copacabana, 435 – Copacabana

Things will get started at around 11PM and ticket prices range from R$40-R$60 – for more information, check out the event page.
