We have the top three picks for this Monday, and below there is a list of bars and lounges that are always a good option.

PARTY:
I Hate Mondays @ Fosfobox (Copacabana) – This is the party for those who don’t want the weekend to end, or are already fed up with the week! I Hate Mondays at Fosfobox is the best party on a Monday, always bringing a killer line up of DJs and the latest tunes that will all but make you forget what day it is.

The line-up for tonight is still to be announced, but it always features some of the top DJs from Rio, Brazil, and beyond!

Tickets are between R$20 – R$50 and the night begins at 11PM.

PARTY:
1º Festival Ganjah @ Ganjah Lapa (Lapa) – The 1st Ganjah Festival celebrates three years of one of the hippest spaces in the city, bringing together plenty of live performances, DJs, and much more!

Monday will kick off with plenty of forró from DJ Juan Motta, followed by live performances courtesy of Baseado em Forró and Banda Canacaiana.

Entrance is between R$5-R$10 and the night gets going at 10PM.

PARTY:
Temporada de Férias @ Casa da Matriz (Botafogo) – Casa da Matriz are kicking off the party season of 2019 with free entrance for the first fifty party-goers!

If that’s not enough, then there’s two-for-one on gin and tonics and caipirinhas up until 2AM. Plus, DJs Vitor Mencarelli, Duda Olïve, and guests, will be playing the best pop, hits, and Carioca funk until the early hours.

Normal entry is between R$10-R$20 and the party gets started at 11PM.

LOUNGES, BARS & PUBS:

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those who aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 6PM and finishes at 8PM.

Pavão Azul (Copacabana)
Pavão Azul is a lively bar in Copacabana, famous for its exceptionally cold beers and prawn pastels. It gets crowded there every night, making every day of the week seem like the weekend.

Blue Agave Copa (Copacabana)
As well as great drinks and authentic Mexican food, the Blue Agave bar in Copacabana is one of the best places to watch live sports. Make sure to check out the original Blue Agave located in Ipanema also.

Shenanigan’s (Ipanema)
With classic pub games like darts and pool, Ipanema’s Shenanigan’s is always a great spot to visit. Monday to Friday, Happy Hour is from 6PM to 8PM and Mondays are half-price steak nights starting at 8PM.

Nosso (Ipanema)
Located in a charming house at Maria Quitéria Street, its sophisticated drinks and dishes are undoubtedly worth a try. You will also enjoy Nosso if you are a rum lover: their rum drinks, with labels from Cuba and Jamaica, are the house specialties.
