CARNIVAL:
Afoxé Filhos de Gandhi (Centro) – One of the most traditional Afro Brazilian cultural groups in Rio, Afoxé Filhos de Gandhi performs this afternoon at Praia de Copacabana, at 4PM.

Afoxé Filhos de Gandhi will present traditional Afro Brazilian rhythms, like ijexá and jongo.

PARTY:
Baile da Ouvidor (Centro) – This Monday, Arco do Teles will host the coolest Carnival ball in Rio with the “Baile da Ouvidor” party.

From 2PM to 11PM, there will be free live music with bands Fanfarra Black Clube, Mango Mambo, La Rica Band and Besame Mucho. What’s more, DJs will be spinning Brazilian funk, samba and MPB all day.

Vai Malandra (Vidigal) – The best of Brazilian funk is about to invade Vidigal with the “Vai Malandra” party, at 11PM.

Seven different DJs will spin the hottest from this music genre, and there will be open bar until 12AM.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 6PM and finishes at 8PM.

Pavão Azul (Copacabana)
Pavão Azul is a lively bar in Copacabana, famous for its exceptionally cold beers and prawn pastels. It gets crowded there every night, making every day of the week seem like the weekend.

Blue Agave Copa (Copacabana)
