The Rio Times, Nightlife Guide, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Nightlife, Bars, Clubs, Parties

We have the top three picks for this Monday, and below there is a list of bars and lounges that are always a good option.

LIVE:
Rodrigo Fragoso @ Champanharia Ovelha Negra (Botafogo) – The singer Rodrigo Fragoso will be presenting his project ‘Cuando Me Conhecer,’ (When to meet me) with a lot of pop rock to start the week with a bang.

With a rustic atmosphere and plenty of attitude, the Champanharia Ovelha Negra (Black Sheep Champagne Shop) isn’t a bistro, nor a tavern, nor a bar – it is simply the black sheep!

Come and sample some domestic and international champagne and sparkling wine with the sounds of a talented musician and see for yourself why they’re calling themeselves ‘Brazil’s premier champanharia.’

The evening is free to attend and should begin at 5:30PM.

Rodrigo Fragoso – Rua Bambina 120 – Botafogo

PARTY:
The Glow Party! @ New Mariuzinn (Copacabana) – It’s back! the party brought to you by Rio Sessions which promises the biggest Monday night.

There will be free caipirinhas until midnight, random tequila shots, promotions on beers and vodka energy drinks.

If you’re looking for an upscale, big club experience, this seems to be the ticket. The club will be immersed in black light and they will be handing out everything from glow paint to glow bracelets and much more.

This night there will be live samba, then DJ Caue Campean will be spinning some house, hiphop and reggaeton, followed by DJ Dluccio who will spin pop, trap and deep house.

Two DJs, two floors, and only one block away from Copacabana beach.

Glow Party! – Avenida Nossa Senhora de Copacabana, 435 – Copacabana

Things will get started at around 11PM and ticket prices range from R$40-R$60 – for more information, head to the event page.

LIVE:
Samba @ Castelinho (Flamengo) – This is a classic ‘Roda de samba’ (Samba circle) without a script, purely improvised with the musicians playing according to the spirit of the night.

Samba do Castelinho is formed by Ana Costa, Paulao 7 cordas, Leonardo Pereira, Marquinho China, Anderson Balbueno, Bianca Calcagni and Jorge André.

Come and enjoy samba in one of the most beautiful and historic settings in all of Rio.
