Rio News, Brazl NewsFriday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – The American rock band, Bon Jovi, takes to the Rock in Rio 2017 main stage tonight, performing at 12:25 AM.

With over thirty years of career and nineteen released albums, the New Jersey band has already performed five times in Brazil, four of them in the Rock in Rio festival (in 1993, 1995, 2010 and 2013).

Besides the classics, Bon Jovi will also present the songs from its latest album, “THIS HOUSE IS NOT FOR SALE”.

Pianist Jonathan Ferr and band run a urban jazz and soul music show tonight, paying homage to Tim Maia, Brazil’s legendary soul singer. Opening the night will be DJ Flávio César.

It’s time again for Lapafest at Leviano bar tonight. Singer Mar César will start off the night on the first floor performing a roda de samba with well-known samba classics. DJs Aílton Areas and Ricardinho will be spinning the best of samba, funk, hip hop and electronic. The band Johnny’s will also be there performing the best tracks from the international rock scene.

Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 5PM and finishes at 8PM.

Just around the corner from Posto 9, the bar is also known for its mostly English-speaking staff and expat crowd which frequents the establishment.
