Friday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Get ready to surrender to the “Caribbean magic” tonight, as La Cumbia de Los Muertos Party happens in Santo Cristo (Centro) from 11PM.

At the Los Muertos dance floor, DJs Nirso, Nastyman, TSFN will be spinning cumbia, digital cumbia, eletrocumbia and mombathon. At the Global Bass floor, DJs PH Kbrum, Andrei Yurievitch, Raoni Mouchoque and Radio Rua will play the best from reggaeton, funk and dancehall.

The party pays homage to the Dia de Los Muertos (the Day of the Dead)), a traditional celebration from Mexico. There will also be live performances, live painting and food trucks.

Salsa no Mike Imbiss (Santa Teresa)
Tonight, Santa Teresa will be on fire with trio Dale Pra Ca performing a show with the best from singers and composers like Beny Moré, Bola de Nieve and Oscar de Leon at the German bar Mike Imbiss.

La Cumbia de Los Muertos (Santo Cristo)
The best from the Caribbean music lands in Centro tonight. The La Cumbia de Los Muertos party includes two dance floors where DJs will spin reggaeton, funk, dancehall, cumbia, cumbia digital, eletrocumbia, mombahton, among other genres. Impossible not to surrender to the Carribbean magic.

Etnohaus 7 Anos (Botafogo)
Celebrating its seven years, the Etnohaus cultural venue throws a party tonight with nine different DJs, who will play a very ecletic setlist of Brazilian and foreign independent music.

At roda de samba “Pede Teresa”, one can find the best outdoor free party’s atmosphere. Group Pede Teresa plays a great repertoire while it interacts with the audience, who sings and dances along. Diverse food trucks can be found at the venue.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 5PM and finishes at 8PM.

Blue Agave Ipanema (Ipanema)
Blue Agave Ipanema is always a great place for Mexican food, drinks and for watching live sport streams and broadcasts. Just around the corner from Posto 9, the bar is also known for its mostly English-speaking staff and the mostly English-speaking crowd which frequents the establishment. Be sure to check out Blue Agave in Copacabana also for a great night out.
