Monday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Trônica is happening at Fosfobox on the eve of yet another holiday here in Rio. This will be the launch party of the Festival de Cinema de Música Eletrônica, which is an audiovisual exhibition dedicated to the world of electronic music. Taking place on Nov. 20th through till Nov. 25th at Caixa Cultural do Rio de Janeiro, the event will show thirteen documentary and fictional films based around the culture and formation of the electronic musical scene around the world.
Tonights launch party will feature on of the pioneers of original house music, Chicago’s own DJ Chip-E, who produced “Jack Trax,” one of the most well known early house music releases. He is known also for his work alongside Frankie Knuckles, another early house pioneer.
