Monday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – The number one sound system of Rio takes over Leviano on Monday nights. The night begins with the band Bongo Band playing the best of pop and rock. Special guest for the night Radiola Visto Rasta will be playing the best of roots, reggae and dub. Digital Dubs will be presenting a special guest MC, Dada Yute on the mic.
Reggae is a music genre first developed in Jamaica in the late 1960s. While sometimes used in a broader sense to refer to most types of Jamaican music, the term reggae more properly denotes a particular music style that originated following on the development of ska and rocksteady. Local and out-of-town bands, MCs and DJs promote one of the most globally loved genres in music today.
