Friday’s Rio Nightlife Pick: Gringo Café in Ipanema will host a haunted Happy Hour on Friday, with drinks eerily half-off  at the unusually (but wonderfully) late hours of 8-10PM.  Deadly drinks such as “Scary Sangria” will be served alongside “Mummy Pizza” and “Monster Eye Meatballs.”  Come in costume to receive a free caipirinha or beer.

One of the greatest doubles this city has ever produced is finally back.  ROCK IT downstairs with electro-rock or REVOLT! upstairs with heavy metal and grunge.

Grupo BebadoSamba (Lapa)
Blending youth and experience, the group shows its face with a different compositions from the traditional samba circles the city. They add a samba and choro repertoire with rare books, popular anthology of the last century and a contemporary approach.

Arruda (Lapa)
The Pagoda of Arruda, Cultural Movement for the Preservation of samba, was born in 2005. After five childhood friends, residents of Vila Isabel samba circles decided to take the city. Performing at the hub of samba, Arruda will be on stage till all hours of the night.
