Friday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Studio RJ is hosting a truly special event tonight as DJ, producer and radio personality Saddam celebrates his 25-year career in radio with Back II Black. Tonight’s event will feature some of Rio’s top talent of cuts and scratches, including DJ Pachu, Rapha Lima, DJ Zedoroque and some surprise guests.
DJ Saddam began his radio career in May 1988 as a production trainee at Manchete AM. Today, he produces and hosts the hit program Hip-Hop Transamerica every Friday from 9PM to 10PM. This program was the first to make room for the Brazilian rap and pop in radio as well as to present championship MCs battles and freestyles live on air. These sessions included improvised rhymes from special guests such as Flavor Flav of Public Enemy, Timbo King of the Wu Tang Clan and P. Bomb from 7th Octave.
