Wednesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – The Brotherhood crew returns from the sunny beaches of Bahia for their first edition in 2014. They are holding nothing back and starting the new year off right with guest Doctor Dru from Jeudi Records out of Germany. Joined of course by residents Nana Torres and Ricardo Estrella and new brother of the hood, Super Star Veejay Ortega.
Doctor Dru began his career as a drummer, touring Europe and banging the beat onstage for various artists. After an accident left his arm broken, his drumming career got put on hold for a while, until he discovered the drum machine. Before long he was producing a wide variety of artists including one of his heroes, Bootsy Collins. In 2010 he founded the label JEUDI Records, with like minded friends from Baalsaal, Hamburg and the following year saw him ghostproducing for other DJ´s and debut his own material. He has since released hit tracks on OFF Recordings, Exploited and many more.
