Friday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – The popular RUN VDG party returns to Alto Vidigal tonight.
Well known for delivering the best of house, deep house and tech, the party tonight is taking place as part of the RMC Club Week. Part of the larger Rio Music Conference, the RMC Club Week began this year on February 4th and will continue through February 17th with numerous DJs playing at venues throughout the city.
During the RUN VDG party tonight, special guests include DJs Gromma, Lennox Hortale, Michal Scheffler, and Lucius.

Arch Enemy (Lapa)
Swedish death metal band Arch Enemy will perform live at Circo Voador in Lapa tonight. Currently led by lead singer Alissa White-Gluz, the band was formed in 1996 and has released nine studio albums with three different lead vocalists. They arrive in Rio tonight in support of their most recent album entitled, War Eternal. The band Melyra will open the night.

Monobloco (Lapa)
Popular bloco, Monobloco will practice live at Fundição Progresso in Lapa. The bloco was formed fifteen years ago and now consists of approximately 220 students, of all ages, from the Monobloco workshops. They are well known for their lively reinterpretations of great samba, funk, rock, forró and national pop songs.

As Carnival 2015, approaches the free street parties known as blocos are already underway. Today the bloco Eu Amo A Lapa will parade from 9PM to 11M. Their starting point will be at Pça. Cardeal Câmara (Arcos Da Lapa) in Lapa. The bloco Badalo De Santa Teresa will parade from 9PM to 1AM. Their meet-up point will be on Largo das Neves in Santa Teresa. It is important to note that meet-up points and locations of the bloco parades are subject to change.

Wonka Party: All About That Bass (Centro)
Tonight OOMPA will host a special All About That Bass edition of the Wonka Party at Espaço Acústica in Centro. DJs Nathalia Hinz, Dave Avigdor, and Bruno Ambrozi will spin on the trap and bass stage while Thiago Burgos and Vitor Dill will spin on the rock stage during the night. Finally on the third stage, the pop stage, DJs G Sotero, Millah Bass, Rick Castro, and Ivvyz will spin throughout the night. During the night, candy and chocolate will be distributed as well as Megan Trainor’s CD which includes the hit song, “All About That Bass.” Promotions during the night will include two for one Budweiser until 1AM.

Bootleg with Gui Boratto (Copacabana)
Part of the RMC Club week, Fosfobox will host very special guest Gui Boratto during the first Bootleg party of 2015. During the event, Boratto will launch his new album entitled, Abaporu. Additionally, DJs Leo Janeiro, Marcelo Abreu and Bed & Breakfast will spin on the Fosfobox stage while DJs Caio Busetti, Nina Soul and Sean Diss will spin above at the Fosfobar during the night.

The Lapafest party returns to the Leviano bar in Lapa tonight. Singer Gabby Moura will start things off with samba and pagode.
