Friday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Brazilian Wax is commemorating their three year anniversary and they are doing it in true style. With a handful of out of town guest DJs, plus art expositions and incredible visuals, expect to have your senses blown away.
First off, the man behind it all, Pedro Piu will be throwing down on the decks, his special brand of funky breaks and chunky house. From São Paulo, D-Edge sensations Marcello Vor and Dani Souto team up to bring you Brek A Leg Show, which should provide a glimpse into techno induced electro funk and breaks. Also RollDaBeetz from Fabo and Soundman Paco, from São Paulo, playing their unique sounds of tech house. Local support from Joca Vidal, the Marginal Men and Nepal.

Cat Empire (Lapa)
The Cat Empire is an Australian band coming to Brazil directly! Their sound is a mixture of jazz, folk, rock and ska influences with bits of Latin music rhythms and extensive use of trumpets and cellos. The band will tour this year to promote their new album, “Steal The Light,” which was released in May.
